PEOPLE PORTRAIT RESIZE-41

At PplusP, we have never seen ourselves as a conventional interior design studio in Hong Kong. We are an award-winning design practice built on people, trust, and long-term relationships.
From architecture and interior design to installations and exhibitions, our work has always been shaped by a small, close-knit team of passionate creatives — each contributing their own perspective and way of thinking.
Over time, many of these creatives have moved on to different paths across the global design industry. We do not see them as former employees, but as part of our extended family — our PplusP alumni.
This page is a tribute to the people who have been part of our journey. Together, they have shaped not only our projects, but also the culture and identity of our creative studio.

PEOPLE PORTRAIT RESIZE-42.1

What makes PplusP unique is not just the work we produce, but the relationships we build. We believe a strong design practice is grounded in mutual respect, shared experiences, and lasting human connections.
Every year, we gather for our Bōnenkai — a Japanese year-end tradition among colleagues and friends. While it is often described as a way to “forget the past year,” for us, it holds a deeper meaning.
It is a moment to reconnect.
To reflect on the challenges we overcame, the ideas we explored, and the journeys we shared.
In this gathering, hierarchy disappears. Titles no longer matter.
We meet again simply as designers, collaborators, and friends.
Because at PplusP, we do not just create spaces —we build a design community that lasts beyond time.

Dr. Bai Lin is an architectural researcher and urban planning professional based in Tokyo. She holds a PhD in Architecture from Tokyo Institute of Technology and has conducted academic research in collaboration with Waseda University. Her work focuses on spatial configuration, common space usage, and human behaviour in architectural and urban environments.
Dr. Bai first met PplusP’s Director, Wesley Liu, in Tokyo in 2019 during a design exchange programme led by Wesley in collaboration with Guangzhou Design Week. Sharing a common research-driven and cross-cultural approach to spatial thinking, they began working together shortly thereafter. Their early collaborations included private residential and mixed-use projects in Tsukishima, Tokyo, where academic research and practical design strategies were closely integrated.
Her research applies quantitative methods, including space syntax analysis, GIS, and large-scale GPS data, to examine how spatial design influences social interaction, movement patterns, and space occupancy. Her work has been widely published in international peer-reviewed journals, particularly in the fields of elderly care architecture, urban analytics, and public space planning. She continues to engage in both research and professional practice across architectural planning, real estate development, project management, and interior design.
